Beelitz Heilstaetten 4

... This huge complex of hospitals was build between 1898 and 1930 and served mainly as an isolated place for people who had pulmonary diseases such as tuberculosis. This complex has the size of 200 hectar and was abandoned in 1994 (some buildings were abandoned earlier but some were still in use such as the surgery by the russians in the DDR)

This place has quite a spooky history, 6 people were found dead in there, murdered by a man who dragged the bodies in there

Another murder took place in there when a photographer murdered his colleague

And Another murder took place in the gatehouse (which nowadays serves its purpose as a small motel)

It even gets spookier:
Two of the watchman resigned their job by slamming the keys on the table because they were hearing people screaming out of the building but they knew that no one could be in there. And when they made their rounds through the complex they've often seen a shadowfigure of a woman roaming the halls.


Well, nowadays the building is having a harsh time, a lot of vandalism is destroying the insides of this beautiful complex. But beside that: a lot of urban explorers love this place and almost every weekend you can find ghost hunters in there, searching for that shadowfigure of a woman and recording EVPs


But man, look at this place... It's made for storys like that..
I obviously fell in love with it
